Page 1 of REM - Accelerate...

Wow. Am loving this. Anyone heard it yet? Really back to their best. Sadly not long enough - seems not too much over 30 mins but some great tracks - and some growers. First time I heard it I knew it would get better and better and it does..
Amazing to think they got this far after Michael`s announcement......

It`s not easy being different. It`s not easy being cool....but somehow I manage....

The albumn has had a lot of good press. I listened to a few of the tracks that were played at the Albert Hall concert recently and really liked them. I think if this albumn had bombed they would probably have packed it all in.....

Did you buy the "Special Edition" version of Accelerate of just the "bog standard" one??? I am gonna have to wait until Father`s Day to get my hands on a copy .....unfortunately!!!

I started listening to it 2 days ago. Initial impressions were that it wasn`t that great. But then I guess that`s because I`ve been listening to too much Nickelback and Maximo Park recently :D

However, have listened to it a few more times and have to say that it is actually really good!
This is REM doing some of their best stuff.

Managed to listen to the albumn ....sounds great!!!

Three duff tracks on it though ... Until the Day is Done, Sing for the Submarine and Mr.Richards!

:o Mr Richards is fantastic. Can skip the other two though. Still listening to this a lot - really takes you back years to the `as many word in a line as possible - end of the world as we know it` kind of songs..... Some crackers! :D
